The Production Process: From Roll to Cast End Cap
A dust filter cartridge goes through several stages before it is ready. Each stage can become a weak point when processing delicate materials.
The process starts with roll unwinding and pre-cutting, handled by the 92XTS, also available in a multilayer version. This is followed by blade or roller pleating. Next comes cross-cutting with edge bonding (94XTT-HM) to close the cylinder. Finally, the casting stage: the 101COMPACT for single end-cap and top-cap casting, or multi-station lines for high-speed production cycles.
The Soft Touch System for Delicate Materials
With PTFE membranes or nanofiber materials, the challenge is not cutting but controlling web tension during pleating. Too much tension can tear the material; too little can result in irregular pleats.
The servo-driven 91XSPL pleating machine addresses this with the Soft Touch system. It adaptively controls web tension during material feed. It works with both single-layer and multilayer materials, without requiring continuous operator supervision.
Diameters and Heights Covered by the Range
The range covers diameters from 50 to 500 mm and heights from 50 to 1,200 mm. This range covers both compact cartridges for small dust extraction systems and large-format elements for industrial dust collectors.
The most common applications include centralized dust extraction, machine tools, and metal and woodworking processes.
